Senior IT System Engineer

We are looking for a passionate IT professional who will work in the IT Operations Division, as a member of the team in charge of the installation, configuration and maintenance of the servers and applications or services in Cloud that support the Business Services.

He/She will work under the coordination and responsibility of the IT Operations Architecture leader, executing the tasks requested by the customers (internal or external) by applying applications changes, troubleshooting and tuning activities.

A strong respect of the Company’s policies and processes is absolutely a must, the candidate should also be able to act in a proactive way, has strong experience on problem solving, being autonomous in monitoring, performance analysis, and patching the servers entrusted to him.

Flexibility is required in knowing how to work in different contexts: both in Cloud environments and on-premise architectures.

Responsabilities

• • Governance: Establishing and maintaining practice to ensure the reliability, availability and performances of the systems. Implementing strategies to ensure systems can withstand failures without causing significant disruptions. Managing and resolving incidents, including root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.  Implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions to detect and respond to issues promptly
  • Automation: Developing and enhancing automation tools for deployment, scaling, and recovery to improve system and infrastructure (IAC) efficiency.
  • Security: Collaborating with security teams to implement and maintain robust security measures for middleware systems.
  • Collaboration: Proactively identifying areas for improvement in processes, tools, and systems according to Applications Management teams and Developer teams needs, working closely with dev and sysadmin teams to facilitate deployment of applications
  • Cloud: Designing, implementing and managing cloud infrastructures and apply resource optimization, Managing and implementing RBAC for secure resource management.

Skills

• • Linux and Windows intermediate administration and troubleshooting
  • Ansible – Terraform – CI/CD for IAC and automation scripts
  • k8s and containers governance and troubleshooting
  • Redis – Rabbit – Elastic Search fundamentals
  • Networking fundamentals
  • Azure fundamentals
  • AWS skills:
    • Design, Manage and maintain AWS resources including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, EKS and Elasticache clusters
    • Implement and enforce security best practices such as IAM policies, encryption, and network security groups.
    • Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
    • Design and implement automation scripts using tools such as AWS Lambda, or Terraform to streamline deployment and management processes.
