CRIF Ratings has been authorized by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in December 2011 to assign credit ratings to non-financial corporates within the European Union. The agency is a recognized ECAI in accordance with Article 135(2) of the Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), having obtained the individual mapping tables by the Joint Committee of European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, ESMA and EIOPA). The Rating Department, based in Italy, covers the Italian bank and debt capital markets and is seeking to expand into other European financial markets.

SENIOR RATING ANALYST - CORPORATE
ACTIVITY:
- Working within the Rating Department, the successful candidate will act as lead analyst on a portfolio of ratings (existing or to be issued) on non-financial corporations, presenting and discussing his/her recommendation to the rating committee. He will also take part as a voting member to the rating committees;
- He/She will be responsible for writing sector-wide studies or ad-hoc market comments and presenting CRIF Ratings’ opinions in an incisive manner to external parties;
- He/She will be involved in the delivery of ancillary services, comprising corporate risk assessment, to banks, investors and other financial institutions;
- The candidate is expected to keep fully up-to-date with market/industry developments and to proactively manage the rating process of issuers in his/her portfolio to provide timely and insightful opinions to investors;
- The position is located either in Bologna or in Milan, but can involve travelling in Italy or abroad upon analytical requirements.
SKILLS:
- Strong financial and credit analysis skills, including forward-looking cash flow modelling and accounting, preferably from a credit, fixed income or rating background;
- Previous work experience of at least 5 years in the credit industry on corporate counterparties in a rating agency, corporate/investment bank or advisory firm;
- Team player and result oriented professional, with ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines;
- Fluent written and verbal communications skills in Italian and English. Knowledge of Spanish, German, French and/or other European languages is a plus.
