Business Development Manager

General description

The position is placed within the Business Development area of CRIF Ratings (Managing Director: Luca D’Amico) and, with the role of Business Development Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of revenue targets assigned in relation to all CRIF Ratings solutions.


The work place could be anywhere in Europe where CRIF is present



In particular, the figure sought:


  • Will support CRIF local sales and Client Managers (if present) to position and promote all CRIF Ratings services (Ratings for capital requirements, ESG, evaluations of companies and special asset classes, sector analysis, forward looking and portfolio analysis, and any other "tailor-made" service offered by CRIF Ratings)
  • He/she will manage a book of business and prospects, will create and develop the relationship, address the pain points, motivate to buy, propose compelling solutions by bringing a deep and specialised knowledge
  • He/she will guarantee the effectiveness of all the phases of the project, and will coordinate with all other areas of CRIF (markets/practices/WWCC). He/she will also be accountable  for the effective and successful grounding of the commercial offering
  • He/she will collaborate with CRIF Ratings operations and delivery teams to foster innovation, identifying and understanding customer’s needs, designing and proposing the best solution. This includes leveraging existing and new solutions to present an integrated and compelling proposition to the market.

  • Ability to work in a team and with a high degree of autonomy
  • Willingness and skills to fully understand and deep dive any aspect of CRIF Ratings proposition


Essential knowledge and requirements

  • Experience: at least 3-5 years in sales, relationship management, or consulting roles with large client exposure (Banking/NBFI market background is a plus)
  • Experience in presentation, communication including C-Level, and negotiation
  • Availability for frequent travel (including internationally)
  • Degree in Economics or related (Master is a plus)


Linguistic knowledge

  • Excellent English
  • A second European language is a plus
