This eclectic and rapidly growing group is looking for a motivated, self-driven Senior Data Engineer. In our vision, the Data Engineer is a hybrid figure: he works as a bridge between IT and Data Science departments, but he also works closely with business-oriented people. He is the key to bring Data Science out of the labs, and get a real impact on customers' processes.

As a Data Engineer you will join an area composed of 30 among Data Scientists and Data Engineers which are strongly focused on innovative asset development. Although we take care of all the data life-cycle activities, your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Design of laboratory and production environments
  • Support data collection and data preparation activities
  • Release of Data Science models in production environments

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Degree in statistics, math, physics or computer science
  • Robust knowledge of Machine Learning
  • Excellent command of Python (with specific focus on object-oriented programming), other languages are a plus
  • Proven experience in developing data pipelines and APIs
  • Good understanding of the most important Linux distributions
  • Leading projects within their own areas of competence
  • A good command of written and spoken English is required

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling
  • Experience in most common web frameworks based on Python
  • Experience developing on cloud architectures (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with version control tools (git preferred)
  • Basic Docker knowledge
